Elizabeth works with polymer clay and mixed media. She is best known for the Japanese-inspired pendants that she makes from polymer clay and Japanese fabric cord. Each pendant is unique, and the pattern on the pendant is created to match and compliment the specific piece of fabric cord that it hangs on.
She also likes to make ornamental objects such as pots, small boxes, and mirror frames;often in turquoise, jade, blue and gold; combining polymer clay with other materials such as mulberry paper and papier mache.
She thinks of her work as 'an exploration and celebration of colour'. And her aim is a simple one: To try to create unique, tactile and beautiful pieces that another person may delight in using.
Elizabeth has become very interested in teaching her craft, and hopes to do much more of this in the near future.
