Contemporary Crafts at Milland

Contemporary Crafts at Milland

Four members of Surrey Guild of Craftsmen will be taking part in Contemporary Crafts, a regular Christmas fair at Milland Village Hall.

Mike Topham will have a selection of his wonderful quirky designs on show, ideal gifts no matter the age or sex of the recipient. Mike's pictures are made in wire which stands proud of its background, and you can't help smiling when you see the ideas he's come up with!

Ruta Brown is one of The Guild's longest standing members. Her stunning contemporary designs often incorporate intricately manipulated silver along with freshwater pearls or semi precious stones

When you see Carolyn Wallis's finely woven silk scarves, you will find it hard to believe she actually started weaving rugs and heavier weights of fabric!  She has an enviable eye for colour and design making her scarves much sought-after.

A regular participant at this event in Milland, this year Nancy Shafee will surprise visitors with completely new work. She will be showing her bas relief decorative tiles in fine plaster depicting wild flowers and grasses.

The event will take place at Milland Village Hall, GU30 7NA on November 18th and 19th from 10am to 4pm
