Six Surrey Guild members will be exhibiting at Festival of Craft this year, demonstrating and selling their work, giving visitors an opportunity to see just how much work goes into a handcrafted item.
Members taking part are:
Jo Aylwin - One of The Surrey Guild's newest members, Jo produces beautiful decorative art using the techniques of weaving.
Linda Connelly - Linda began enamelling when she found an old kiln in a junk shop over thirty years ago. She is currently vice-chairman of The Surrey Guild, and a frequent participant in Surrey Guild events.
Susan Holton - Sue creates knitwear which fits well and drapes beautifully. She is a long-standing member of The Surrey Guild and has been on the committee for many years, first as membership secretary and now masterminding the website.
Linda Scott-Cerins - Linda started working with glass in 2013 and quickly got sucked into the many and varied ways glass can be used. She produces pieces suited to both modern and more traditional homes. Linda is one of the Surrey Guild’s newest members and their membership secretary.
Nancy Shafee - Nancy started feltmaking in 2009 and also makes coiled fabric baskets, running workshops for both feltmaking and basketmaking as well as weaving. Nancy joined The Surrey Guild in 2013 and is the current Chairman.
Gabriella Sellors - Gabriella has been making jewellery for more than thirty five years. She often demonstrates at events for The Surrey Guild where she is also a valued committee member.UPDATE: October 12th
Sadly, due to injury, Linda Scott-Cerins will be unable to join us. Her place will be taken up by Myra McDonnell, whose beautiful work has been added below. Visitors to The Maltings Monthly Market in Farnham will already be familiar with her decorative ceramics.
