Elizabeth Campbell Gallery
Elizabeth works with polymer clay and mixed media. She is best known for the Japanese-inspired pendants that she makes from polymer clay and Japanese fabric cord. Each pendant is unique, and the pattern on the pendant is created to match and compliment the specific piece of fabric cord that it hangs on.
She also likes to combine polymer clay with acrylic paint, mica particles, metal leaf and other materials to create nature-inspired stone-like surfaces which are used as veneers to decorate bold jewellery pieces and also mirror frames and boxes. Each piece is then sanded and polished to a high sheen.
She thinks of her work as 'an exploration and celebration of colour'. And her aim is a simple one: To try to create unique, tactile and beautiful pieces that another person may delight in using.
Elizabeth has become very interested in teaching her craft, and hopes to do much more of this in the near future.
