Palmtop size; 15cm long, in red/blue mix glass. Viewing object is a pair of axle-mounted stained glass wheels, one with a mix of millefiori, jewels and fused cabouchons, the other with a geometrical arrangement of coloured glass. The image is unbounded (filling the field of view) dense and richly coloured, The wheels can be interchanged, giving a second family of images

About the maker
Frank Higgins runs the UK’s only studio dedicated to the design and creation of “serious” kaleidoscopes, bringing twenty years of experience in glasswork to bear in developing this unique craft. Frank’s work is collected worldwide and won awards at the International exhibition “Kaleidoscopes – 200 years”.
