Collector’s edition limited to 25 of this design, which evokes the spirit of the Art Deco movement of the 1920s and ‘30s, in both the exterior and the image form.
Full size, 20cm long with rectangular body in deep purple (almost black) glass with black/white “piano-key” decorative motif. The 75mm axle-mounted tumblewheel contains lampworked and fused glass elements with a geometric bias. This shows up strongly in the double chorusline frieze-like image. As with all tumblewheel ‘scopes, the image will never repeat exactly once the pieces have tumbled.

About the maker
Frank Higgins runs the UK’s only studio dedicated to the design and creation of “serious” kaleidoscopes, bringing twenty years of experience in glasswork to bear in developing this unique craft. Frank’s work is collected worldwide and won awards at the International exhibition “Kaleidoscopes – 200 years”.
