PT Cathedralscope
Palmtop size, 16cm long in red/violet mix glass. Viewing object is a glass cone with over 50 individual glass facets (millefiori, dichroic glass, jewels etc) rotating on a vertical axle. This is a scaled-down version of our personal favourite “Gothic” design, with the same high-grade optical system, and creates richly coloured images resembling a medieval Rose Window.

About the maker
Frank Higgins runs the UK’s only studio dedicated to the design and creation of “serious” kaleidoscopes, bringing twenty years of experience in glasswork to bear in developing this unique craft. Frank’s work is collected worldwide and won awards at the International exhibition “Kaleidoscopes – 200 years”.
