Starburst Gemini
Palmtop size; 15cm long, rectangular body in rich violet glass. Viewing object is a pair of 13cm double-helix glitter wands in purple/pink and green/orange. Produces a hexagonal mandala-type image with a dark surround, with two contrasting regions of flowing colours punctuated by flashes of reflected light as the contents of the wands flow past the field of view.

About the maker
Frank Higgins runs the UK’s only studio dedicated to the design and creation of “serious” kaleidoscopes, bringing twenty years of experience in glasswork to bear in developing this unique craft. Frank’s work is collected worldwide and won awards at the International exhibition “Kaleidoscopes – 200 years”.
