Palmtop size,15cm long in red/violet mix glass. Viewing object is 13cm double helix glitter wand in purple/white, set at an angle. Produces a 3-dimensional pointahedron (“spikey sphere”) image against a dark background, with flowing colours punctuated with flashes of reflected light, as the contents of the wand flow past the field of view.

About the maker
Frank Higgins runs the UK’s only studio dedicated to the design and creation of “serious” kaleidoscopes, bringing twenty years of experience in glasswork to bear in developing this unique craft. Frank’s work is collected worldwide and won awards at the International exhibition “Kaleidoscopes – 200 years”.
