Unusual mini-sized kaleidoscope, approx. 10 cm long rectangular body, in iridescent pink/white glass the size and shape of a deck of cards. The viewing object is a 12cm double-helix oil wand in violet and gold. Produces a dynamic flowing image, punctuated with flashes of reflected light as the contents of the wand flow past the field of view.

About the maker
Frank Higgins runs the UK’s only studio dedicated to the design and creation of “serious” kaleidoscopes, bringing twenty years of experience in glasswork to bear in developing this unique craft. Frank’s work is collected worldwide and won awards at the International exhibition “Kaleidoscopes – 200 years”.
